I've been keeping up with this blog for over a year and a half. Wow! It's gone by fast.
I've written about recipes, books, and gardening. I've explored topics in sustainable food that I never thought much about before. I've completed multiple 30-day challenges regarding what I eat and how I source food. Writing this blog has been hard work at times, but quite rewarding. It's been an exercise in written communication and in being vulnerable as I've shared my opinions.
Now, however, it's time for something new! It's time for a change here on my blog because my life is changing. Although I'm only mentioning it now, this plan for a life shift was set in motion over a year ago...
My husband and I are moving to a new city! What city? We don't know yet. But before we get there, we'll be traveling for three months. We're leaving mid-February and will return mid-May. We will literally journey around the entire world, with stops in 9 countries. I'm so excited I can hardly wait to get started! I'm also 100% sure this trip will push me outside of my comfort zone.
One of the (many) components of traveling that I love is experiencing food in other countries and other cultures. What culinary delights can be found in Spain? In Hungary? In Iceland? I'm going to find out. While we're traveling, I will blog about whatever we're eating wherever we are. I'm interested in how foods are sourced around the world and how they are prepared.
With this change from my normal routine in Los Angeles, my blog may differ as well. I may focus on just photos. Or just short descriptive posts of what we're eating. I really don't know how blogging on the go will turn out! But stick with me as we figure it out.
Here are the countries I'll be visiting on this Grand Adventure:
- New Zealand
More to come as we prepare to start our journey in one month!
